From Volume VI, "The Bazaar of the Silk Mercers, Cairo", at left, and below "Interview with the Viceroy, Alexandria". As production of the series progressed, more colors were printed into the images, as opposed to being added by hand watercoloring. These are some of the last to be produced, in 1849, and hence among the most colorful.
The 38 images of Volume VI consist entirely of Cairo, Gizeh and Alexandria, Roberts rented a house in Cairo and stayed there longer than at any other location visited during his journey.
